Moorend Farm
Moorend Farm lies
on the outskirts of Bramhall, on the East side of
Woodford Road. This site extends to 6
acres,
between residential properties on Albany Road,
Woodford Road and Chester Road. It is currently in
use as a 9 hole pay and play golf course and driving
range.
The existing A555
Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road (MAELR)
currently ends at a roundabout on Woodford Road. If
the Highways Agency and/or Stockport MBC eventually
get the go-ahead to complete this road it will
divide Moorend Farm into two smaller pieces of land
too small to continue as a golf course. There is a
logical argument for the land to be then to be
re-designated as building land, using existing
access points. However, this cannot be guaranteed
and prospective purchasers must make their own
judgement.
